Scarves
. . .
- I have been concentrating recently on wearable art. I select supple fibers of silk, mohair, and rayon
chenille and weave them into luscious, cuddly wraps that beg to be worn next to the skin
and flow nicely over the shoulders. My approach to these wraps is to create an everyday
garment for both men and women: scarves to wear with Levis and a shirt, a blazer and
skirt, a suit or sports coat. They go with any style from casual to classic.
-
- My cottage-industry, original scarves are hand woven on an
old-fashion floor loom from my stock of yarns gathered from around the world. My line of
chenille scarves are sensual, dazzling-colored adornments that beg to be touched. Chenille
is like a pipe cleaner. Two core threads twisted around many short fibers form a fluffy,
velvety-textured yarn. Chenille can be made of cotton, silk, polyester, or rayon.

- These colorful adornments spark up any outfit. They are the
perfect travel companion. Weighing less than half an ounce, they are wrinkle-free and
washable. You can stuff it in your pocket. They are 8" wide x 55-60" long.
Hundreds of color and texture combinations, every one a unique jewel. The examples below
are a but a tiny glimpse of the possibilities.
